McCallion Physiotherapy offers a professional physiotherapy service from experienced practitioners. We have a reputation for successfully treating a wide range of musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries. A professional and personal approach, tailoring treatments to suit the individual needs of each of our patients.

Seamus McCallion

Lead Chartered Physiotherapist

Seamus qualified in 1993 from Pinderfields College of Physiotherapy. He has mainly worked in elite sport and private practice, gaining a wealth of experience in treating general musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries. His particular interest is in posture related problems and using modified pilates to complement hands on physiotherapy.

Away from the clinic; Seamus keeps active, regularly playing squash and racket-ball.

Lesley McCallion

Lead Chartered Physiotherapist

Lesley qualified in 1991 from Pinderfields College of Physiotherapy. She has mainly worked in elite sport and private practice. Lesley has extensive experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries. She has a particular interest in the use of specific soft tissue massage techniques and the use of Pilates to manage injury, illness and disease.

To balance life at work and when not walking her dog, Lesley regularly plays, coaches and referees touch rugby.

Aidan McCallion

Massage Therapist

Aidan is an associate member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and has worked alongside Seamus and Lesley in their clinic since 2014, developing his hands-on massage therapy skills and knowledge.

He works closely with our Physiotherapists, offering specific remedial massage therapy and general sports massage.

Away from work, Aidan enjoys walks with his dog and loves to combine his passions of mountain biking, photography and great coffee shops!

Stephen Barwick

Chartered Physiotherapist

Stephen gained his BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy at Northumbria University after first completing a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Science at the University of Sunderland. Stephen has a breadth of Physiotherapy knowledge having worked in private practice, medico-legal, GP referral and professional sport. He has excellent hands on skills and combines his knowledge of Physiotherapy, sport and exercise therapy to optimise treatment and recovery.

Away from the clinic, Stephen enjoys playing football and running.

Cheryl Scally

Physiotherapist

Cheryl qualified with a BSc Hons degree in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University after first completing a BSc in Public Health and Health Promotion in Ireland.

She has worked in medico-legal and private practice since graduating.

Cheryl has a keen interest in exercise prescription, overall wellbeing and hands on treatment, helping patients to improve their function and return to doing what they love.  She has done additional acupuncture and pilates training and is passionate about providing the best possible care for her patients.

In her spare time, Cheryl plays Gaelic football, badminton and enjoys the gym.
